Uber Advertising’s vision is to offer the most marketplace-centric advertising to connect Uber’s platform users (eaters, riders, and earners) with advertisers. Uber Advertising’s platform brings together location based and shopping data with closed loop attribution across its mobility and delivery channels for performance and brand campaigns, enabling advertisers to engage with our consumers through the entire marketing funnel – from awareness through purchase to loyalty and advocacy for Uber users.
At Uber, we have set up a new Uber Advertising division to spearhead the growth of its advertising business. By building a dedicated advertising organization and a suite of advertising products, Uber Advertising will enable merchants and brands to reach and convert its highly engaged user base across its Mobility and Delivery platforms in 32 markets.
About the Role:
The Uber Advertising Sales Operations team, which develops and implements the framework for effective advertiser acquisition, is looking for a Sales Operations Manager. You will build the infrastructure to support our ad sales teams and provide them with scalable processes to help accelerate advertiser acquisition and retention. You’ll dig into the data, using quantitative and qualitative analysis to recommend acquisition strategies that are in line with business goals. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who is both analytical and comfortable with operating autonomously.
What You’ll Do
- Sit at the intersection between Ad Ops and Ad Sales, translating business strategies and goals into impactful sales plans. You’ll partner with Ad sales leadership to provide data-supported recommendations on all things sales.
- Build Salesforce.com sales reporting and dashboards that serve as the foundation for regular business reviews that will lead to improvement.
- Lead initiatives to craft, pilot, scale, and optimize programs to increase Global Ad Sales vertical efficiency, and compliance.
- Collaborate and closely and partner with the broader Uber Advertising organization including Sales, Strategy & Planning, Finance, Ad Operations, Product, and Legal/Compliance to ensure successful initiatives
- Help lead and manage Sales Incentive Plans and quarterly quota alignment
Basic Qualifications
- A minimum of four years of experience in sales operations, operations, project management, management consulting or finance
- Experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or other customer relationship management tools (CRM’s)
- Proficiency in SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency engaging with a variety of internal partners, ability to build trust and collaborate with those teams
- The ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Analytical orientation, with an aptitude for framing business questions with data, translating business needs into strategies, and executing tactics and process improvements
- You are skilled at project and process management such that you can easily balance urgent versus important requests, you can operate autonomously, and you flourish with ambiguity
