About the Role
The Postmates Cities Team is responsible for defining, testing and scaling the true “Postmates Experience” for merchants, consumers, and earners in all unique cities. This team drives the strategy and execution of consumer and merchant acquisition, engagement, and resurrection efforts by taking a granular, geo-level view, finding opportunities and working cross functionally to resolve issues and scale solutions quickly.
In this role, you will execute on data-driven strategies and processes, and flex to address the needs of your cities—jumping on challenges as they emerge. It is importnat to understand the unique strategy for the geography and be committed to seeing the Postmates business thrive in these markets.
The Postmates business is uniquely positioned within Uber to be a complementary challenger brand; the ideal candidate for this role should be passionate about pushing our thinking forward, and have high aspirations for long-term success.
What You’ll Do
- Identify key local favorite restaurants in each territory and customize the Postmates app experience with these offerings to drive growth and retention
- Work with the broader Postmates team to test, define and scale the ideal Postmates acquisition, growth and retention strategy across all geos
- Bring creative ideas to the table, whether that be testing new programs or building new products to improve the Postmates experience
- Focus on the health of the Postmates business (operations and experience) within a specific area or city; monitor metrics and contribute to regular reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Postmates Eater Operations & Pricing and Strategy & Planning teams, Territory and ENT Sales & Account Management teams, Territory and Central Operations; and marketing teams to achieve goals.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional work experience in a related field (consulting, operations, strategy, tech, investment banking)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excel/Google Sheets and SQL Experience, preferred
- Experience problem solving, prioritizing and deconstructing sophisticated problems
- Good business judgement and critical thinking skills, with the ability to use data to quickly
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Excellent organization, time management and communication skills; proven ability to balance multiple critical tasks and consistently delivering against hard deadline
