Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Creates and posts new jobs for hire. Screens candidate pools, conducts pre-employment tasks such as criminal background, pre-employment paperwork, notification to self-insurance provider.
Create and maintain human resources reports on Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and compensation such as status reports, compensation analysis reports, termination reports, etc. Update internal parties of onboarding and offboarded employees timely.
Conducts new employee orientation and collects new employee paperwork.
Act as primary liaison between organization and CoAdvantage for human resource related questions. Benefits, employee relations, etc..
Serve as backup payroll coordinator by training for and practicing in submitting payroll in the absence of the Practice Administrator.
Maintain working knowledge of all applicable policies and procedures and ensure process compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and policies
Helps coordinate communication with annual benefits enrollment for group health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, and other benefits offered by UCF Health.
Develop partnerships with internal staff that enable the human resources function to provide appropriate services to business partners.
Maintain data integrity by reviewing processes for accuracy.
Connect employees with appropriate departments for other services as needed
Additional duties to include but not limited to required trainings by UCF. Peforms other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
Effectively communicate with employees, applicants, and others in person, by phone, by letter and by email.
Accurately update employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll.
Provide informed professional assistance to others in the organization as requested.
nterpret laws and tax codes as they relate to human resources procedures. An understanding of DOL regulations, EEOC regulations, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, and other laws is required.
Timely conduct pre-employment, onboarding and offboarding of employees for both divisions.
Accurately create and maintain human resources reports and maintain monthly DOL statistics report, annual OSHA report and year-end HR report.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education(1) A college degree (non-technical discipline) or (2) multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training or apprenticeship programs or (3) in-depth industry and job specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification
Higher education experience

A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
