UGE International Hiring for Remote Solar Project Coordinator at New York, NY Full Time

UGE Solar Project Coordinators work closely with pro project managers and other departments at UGE to deploy projects efficiently, on time, and on budget. The project coordinator will be responsible for supporting the deployment work across multiple assigned projects in accordance with project contracts, schedules, and budgets, as well as supporting the organization’s procurement activities.

Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Areas

• Responsible for project coordination, support the execution of multiple contracted projects and coordination of new projects under development.
• Assist the project managers with administrative functions and processes, and day-to-day activities.
• Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project lifecycle
• Ensure overall adherence of contractors to contracts.
• Use ERP and Procore software to maintain up to date status of budgets, invoicing, site pictures, commitments, safety inspections, etc.
• Issue purchase orders, maintain their status and shipping tracking information for multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships and ongoing communications with all relevant stakeholders and vendors.
• Communicate plans, actions, risks, and issues with key stakeholders.
• Represent UGE in stakeholder meetings during the construction phase of the project.
• Supporting other deployment staff, including subcontractors and construction managers.
• Work closely with the Procurement and Development teams during pre-contract phases
• Prepare and submit applications to various agencies/boards having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic knowledge of solar PV construction and procurement, preferably at a commercial scale.
• Understanding of supply chain concepts and their applications.
• Self-starter, highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work products.
• High degree of effectiveness working in a collaborative and open culture of cross-functional teams.
• Strong preference for experience with Procore. Monday.com or similar systems.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, data management, and ing.
• Knowledgeable of Authorities having Jurisdiction permitting processes.
• Plus if experienced with drawing software tools, such as AutoCAD.

• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and manage construction documents, specifications, bids, and recommend changes or additions.
• Travel required: ~10%

Experience & Education

• 2-year technical degree minimum – Engineering, Project Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, etc.
• 4-year degree preferred, but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a project coordinator in construction projects.
• Proven track record in successful management of construction projects.
• Procurement experience is a plus
• Structural and/or Electrical engineering knowledge is a plus
• Construction project management of Commercial and Industrial renewable energy projects a plus.
• Project management certifications are an asset but not required (i.e. PMP or similar).
• Experience working with clients in a rapidly evolving environment and developing creative solutions to meet conflicting needs.
