The Opportunity
The Human Resources Manager designs and contributes to the accomplishment of general HR practices and objectives that provide for an employee-oriented, high performing culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for strategy and execution of HR department functions including recruiting and hiring, employee relations and compliance; as well as contributing to the building of a culture that reflects the organization’s mission and core principles.
A team player, the Human Resources Manager can support or flex into new projects quickly, think creatively, and manage day-to-day tasks to meet department and organizational goals. You will be most successful in the role if you are mission-driven, entrepreneurial, curious, collaborative and solutions-oriented with a desire to work in an organization committed to equity, community as well as strategic change and growth.

Recruitment and Hiring
Design and lead recruitment and hiring strategy in support of organizational vision, principles and goals;
Collaborate with Uncornered leaders and hiring manager to organize and coordinate the recruitment and hiring; orientation and onboarding of new hires;
Work closely with Payroll and Finance to ensure coordinated and streamlined enrollment in the HR platform and employee benefits;
Manage recruitment and hiring data.
Employee Relations
Coach and counsel staff on a variety of issues regarding HR related topics;
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs;
Work directly with managers on ensuring compliance with human resource and organizational policies and procedures;
Advise managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and provide support on the disciplinary action process;
Investigate incidents and complaints;
Assist with the termination process, as needed
Compliance
Ensure organization is updated and compliant with current HR laws, practices, notices;
Maintain personnel files, documentation and compliance via our HR management platform (Paychex Flex);
Support team with compliance of organizational practices and policies;
Responsible for updating personnel policies and procedures and communicate changes to all staff in collaboration with Chief Talent Officer,
Prepare reports as required/needed;
Enthusiastically take on other assigned projects as needed.
