Job overview and responsibilities
Aviate is United’s industry-leading pilot career development program offering aspiring and established pilots the most direct path to a United flight deck. This position supports a variety of administrative, recruiting and project support to the Aviate and pilot recruiting team. The primary responsibility of this position is to support Aviate engagement events/activities and Aviate recruitment events.
Supports Aviate and pilot recruiting team on all stages of event management from planning through event execution
Orders supplies and handles shipping to/from events and other duties as needed by the department
Prepares data reports on hiring statistics
Interprets and adheres to standard, administrative procedures and practices yet takes initiative to resolve problems and continuously improve processes when appropriate
Maintains data integrity in all work processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Ensures confidentiality and security of applicant data
Excellent multi-tasker that can prioritize multiple assignments in various stages of execution
Has strong attention to detail, exceptional follow up and excellent time management skills
Ad-hoc project work as needed
Required
High School Diploma
2+ recent years customer service, data entry, call center or related administrative experience
Related field or equivalent work experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organization, flexibility, and ability to prioritize effectively
Superior customer service skills, outgoing and warm personality
Strong computer skills in MS Office – specifically MS Excel
Working knowledge of Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe, Pilot Records, CCS, Shares(travel reservation system) and Drug Abatement systems
Problem solving and decision making required in an ever-changing work environment
Ability to work seamlessly with other departments as new hires transition through the hiring process and training
Previous recruiting or hiring experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
BA/BS Degree
Flight Operations experience or knowledge of pilot life cycle
Staffing experience
Experience using Taleo or other applicant tracking systems is preferred
Experience using HRIS/HRMS platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft or Workday)
Experience with recruiting or campus-related events
