JOB SUMMARY:

ANESTHESIA PROVIDER SCHEDULER (MAIN LINE). A full-time, salaried/exempt, administrative position based in Plymouth Meeting, PA responsible for assisting with scheduling, payroll administration, and day-to-day general administrative and HR support for anesthesia providers serving Main Line Health facilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

United Anesthesia Services, P.C. (UAS) offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented Scheduler based in Plymouth Meeting, PA to assist with anesthesia provider scheduling and general administrative and provider support needs to facilitate day-to-day operations supporting anesthesia providers at Main Line Health facilities. Reporting directly to the manager of scheduling, the Scheduler will be responsible for assisting in the execution of key administrative tasks, including anesthesia provider scheduling, payroll administration and processing support, and general operations and HR support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

• Builds daily, weekly, and quarterly provider staffing/coverage schedules and conducts daily coverage scheduling and assignment administration.
• Supports semi-monthly payroll processing by helping calculate providers’ working hours, overtime, and PTO, and monitoring and adjusting various employee deductions, stipends, and benefits contributions.
• Maintains the employee database.
• With the support of the team and the Executive Director/Administrator, handles employee complaints, concerns, and personnel matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Acts as liaison between corporate management and providers.
• Establishes and maintains good relationships with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, ancillary staff and other departments throughout the hospital to become a trusted, dependable resource for general inquiries.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE. Requires experience in office operations with proven competency in effective communication and organization; experience with medical practice office administration, scheduling, and provider relations highly desirable.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent judgment, decision making, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with tools, technology and systems typically found in a healthcare environment (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, patient record systems, HR databases, etc.).
• Ability to establish priorities and be flexible enough to adapt.

• Ability to recognize problems, get to root cause, problem solve and prioritize
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time management skills; ability to take initiative, demonstrate sensitivity, and tact.

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is in a well-lighted office environment in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Occasional evening and weekend work (mostly communication with staff for coverage/scheduling). Work may be stressful due to continual interaction with others. Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, or standing the remainder. Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with medical scheduler, including walking, bending, standing, reaching, and sitting. Performs complex, occasionally challenging varied tasks requiring problem solving, independent knowledge and exercise of independent judgment.

COMPENSATION:

• UAS offers competitive pay and full benefits including fully company paid medical, disability, and life insurance, employee voluntary vision insurance, employee cost-shared dental insurance, a retirement plan with company 401(k) and profit-sharing contributions totaling 6.5% of eligible compensation (upon eligibility), three (3) weeks of paid time off, and six (6) paid holidays annually. The base salary is expected to be $65-70k annually.
