United Community & Family Services Inc Hiring for Intake Specialist/Medical Receptionist at Norwich, CT Full Time

UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a part-time (24hr) Medical Receptionist and Intake Specialist to perform duties related to screening, scheduling, processing and data entry of new intakes for UCFS Medical and Dental Services. Provide courteous and professional customer service to all Health Center clients, patients, and visitors, as well as internal customer support for clinical staff; as well as telephone support for all callers.

• Handles all incoming calls requesting initial intake appointment for medical and dental services. Handles all calls that go into voicemail/email, returning calls and scheduling appointments within specified time.
• Thoroughly enter new or existing demographic and insurance information into the practice management system, including all pertinent information on guarantor and/or responsible account holder.
• Perform insurance verification and captures all necessary information about insurance benefits and copays; centers into practice management system.
• Communicates to clients all pertinent information for the initial intake appointment and ensures intake appointments are scheduled appropriately and within specified insurance guidelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•
