The University of Pikeville’s College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applicants for a full-time, nine-month faculty appointment in the field of molecular biology starting August 2023. Rank and salary will be based on qualifications. Preference will be given to candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to, and will take an active role in, enhancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

The successful candidate will be a broadly trained molecular biologist with an ability and interest to teach genetics, molecular biology of the cell, developmental biology, introductory biology and upper-level classes in the applicant’s field of interest. The ability to develop courses related to bioinformatics is desirable but, depending on the candidate’s interest and background, the candidate may develop and teach other classes that are part of the University’s course offerings in biology and/or biomedical sciences.
