Job Summary
As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, you’ll join a talented marketing team based in Boulder, Colorado. Initially in support of Naropa University’s 50th Anniversary and events throughout 2024, this is a two-year position that may be extended. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will leverage data and natural creativity to support the Director of Marketing & Communications and our Web Manager in crafting content for Naropa’s existing social platforms; you’ll help us expand into new ones, and contribute to a variety of marketing initiatives on the website. You will be responsible for creating content, curating and sharing stories of impact, uploading photos/video, and monitoring success of your efforts.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in collaborating with subject matter experts, Naropa’s Marketing team, and vendors to create search-optimized content that supports the recruitment for and awareness of Naropa University’s 50th Anniversary. You must be a highly self-motivated professional who works well within a fast-paced team environment, embody Naropa’s values, be a strong creative, and live and breathe the digital world.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinate with the Director of Marketing & Communications to distribute content to blogs, social media, email broadcasts, podcasts, syndicated distribution services, and in-person channels.
• Support the development and maintenance of Naropa’s website under the direction of the Web Manager.
• Co-manage the content calendar, co-create content, and publish to Naropa’s social media and email newsletters to maximize brand stories and drive engagement.
• Create web pages, edit/update web content for naropa.edu and Naropa’s intranet, MyNaropa.com.
• Use engagement data to guide web content creation to increase blended page ranks and organic search traffic volumes.
• Actively monitor and encourage conversations and feedback on social media, reviewing sites and responding in a timely manner.
• In collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Communications, develop content and creative programming to engage journalists as well as print and digital media editors in covering 50th Anniversary topics and events.
• Support and promote 50th Anniversary events as necessary.
• Support photography and visual design of Naropa’s website (e.g. cropping images/graphics or manipulating photos for site use).
• Support the organization and maintenance of Naropa’s Digital Asset Management System and digital marketing archives.
• Assist internal clients with locating owned media assets as requested.
• Organize, label, and catalogue digital media collected from a wide array of events held at Naropa University.
• Support online marketing campaigns and create reports to measure performance of media based on yield, CTR, and conversion rates to help inform future campaign planning.
• Stay constantly aware of best practices and trends in social media and digital platforms
• Other duties, periodically, as assigned.

Educational requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum length of prior applicable professional experience required:
• With Bachelor’s degree, minimum of four (4) years’ applicable experience

Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and/or Competencies Required:
• Experience working on Naropa’s social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest) and others with potential to assist Naropa (Discord, TikTok, Reddit, etc.)
• Solid working knowledge of data tools such as Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, marketing automation software, CRMs, etc.
• Strong knowledge of SEO and crafting content to increase organic search.
• Excellent writing and copyediting skills, including experience working with style guides.
• At ease with standard office procedures and productivity software such as Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and various video conferencing platforms.
• Comfortable in content management platforms, specifically Wordpress and SharePoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks on occasional short deadlines.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
• Positive, approachable, dependable, flexible.
Qualifications Naropa Would Prefer in Candidates for this Position
•Experience working with video editing software and or/podcast production.
•Photography and photo editing skills.
•Interest and facility in manipulating marketing data for what can be learned from it.
•Basic graphic design sense and skills.

A comprehensive benefits package is available to full-time employees who work a minimum of 30 hours each week.

Employees who work fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in Naropa’s retirement plan only, which includes up to 2.5% employer matching.
