In 2021 UVA expanded services to include mental health treatment and began doing services as Unlimited Visions Behavioral Health Institute. Position Summary:

Duties:

· Prepare and ensure patient health records are prepared and available for patient appointments

· Document symptoms, medical histories, and current medications

· Secure patient information, and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records

· Monitor expiration dates of medical supplies and medications

· Maintains and acquires knowledge and skills to perform required duties to meet all hospital, state organizational and licensure requirements

· Complete records in adequate professional detail

· Acting as an advocate for the patient needs by addressing gaps in care

· Communicating and developing the care plan and serving as a point of contact to ensure services are rendered appropriately

· Coordinate and certify services based upon information received by providers and utilization review using established medical criteria

· Evaluate and monitor the member needs and adjust care plan as clinically appropriate

· Collaborate with outpatient providers and inpatient facilities in implementing the care plan

· Performs medical examination as needed to support diagnosis of psychiatric conditions and appropriate referrals to non-psychiatric medical care.

Qualifications:

· A physician with specialized training in psychiatry that provides diagnosis, treatment and prescribing of medications, and other treatments which may only be ordered or performed by a licensed physician for patients in programs of the Behavioral Health Institute

· Hands-On Experience in updating and maintaining case records

· Excellent Communication and Customer Service

· Understands and follows Unlimited Visions Aftercare, Inc. “Mission Statement”, “Code of Ethics”, organizational policies, and Structure.

· Currently licensed to practice in Texas

Experience
Knowledge of mental illness and chemical dependency or dual diagnosis treatment preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $49.00 – $137.00 per hour
