For The GS-8
Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-08 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties: 1) Preparing briefing materials in support of finalizing presentations. 2) Maintaining accurate and complete budget reviews for an assigned program. 3) Composing complex correspondences, memos, reports and other statistical materials on behalf of management. 4) Developing procedures and checklists for administrative operations.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
For The GS-7
Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties: 1) Maintaining files, records, reference materials and retrieve documents in accordance with applicable regulations. 2) Researching data to ensure content is relevant and up to date. 3) Formulating reports in accordance with applicable grammar techniques. 4) Conducting studies on administrative work processes to identify areas for improvement.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation for suitability as a condition of placement in this nonsensitive/moderate risk position. This review may include financial issues such as delinquency in the payment of debts, child support and/or tax obligations, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs.
Work Environment: The work is performed in an environmentally controlled office setting, with frequent interruptions and often times stress-inducing time/workload deadlines. Some travel and site visits may be required.
Physical Demands: Work is basically sedentary with occasional requirements to lift/move objects (supplies) weighing up to fifteen (15) pounds.
