THE ROLE: Sr. Network Engineer

Job Description:

• Maintain operational support for network IT services

• Design world class solutions for national enterprise network

• Provide mission critical success for customers

• Troubleshoot and analyze network-related performance issues

• Reporting to customer on existing architecture to deliver a scalable, highly reliable network

• Help develop and implement ongoing process and procedures

• Staying current with latest trends in technology and the management and integration of those technologies

• Primary work location is Raleigh, NC

Required Skills:

• Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and overall routing designs

• Experience with STP, port-channeling, and layer-2 designs

• Experience with standard WAN/LAN telecommunications technologies; T1, DS3, OC3, MPLS, etc

• Experience with Fabric overlay designs including software-defined technologies

• Experience with standard security protocols and technologies; Radius, TACACS+, access-lists/access-groups, firewalling techniques, 802.1x, etc.

• Experience with Cisco firewalls; ASAs and Firepower/FXOS

• Experience with QoS protocols and techniques

• Knowledge of network load-balancing

• Knowledge of cloud networking and different types of cloud services; SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, etc.

• Knowledge of WAN acceleration and redirection techniques to include WCCP

• Knowledge of VPN technologies to include various types of IPSec technologies

• Cisco certifications preferred: CCNP, CCIE, etc.

• Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks; design, implementation, and troubleshooting

• Ability to document detailed designs and MoPs

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years experience with configuring, implementing and troubleshooting networking equipment such as Cisco routing&switching and firewalls or equivalent

• US Govt clearance will be required which we will provide background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 per year
