At Valley you will use our 26 fundaments we call the ‘Valley Way’ to successfully lead your team of managers. You will also be working with various departments internally, 3rd party vendors, and customers to mitigate issues as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

• Effectively lead and support 1st and 2nd shift warehouse managers leading by example to ensure that the company’s everyday activities run safely, efficiently and profitably.
• Work with the Facilities & Maintenance Manager to ensure team members’ safety, maintain operational processes with excellence and achieve goals for productivity and profitability.
• Work with other department heads to coordinate activities among the different business functions.
• Investigate customer complaints and work with sales management to provide exceptional service and allow the company to aggressively drive sales.
• Proactively and consistently bring solutions, action plans, and efficiencies to the executive team.
• Solve operational problems methodically and efficiently.
• Ensure that optimal staffing is maintained by mentoring and monitoring warehouse department managers and forecasting employment needs based on business activities and reporting.
• Create and maintain a delivery schedule for all of Valley’s customers.
• Evaluate and order needed warehouse equipment.
• Ensure accurate input of payroll information for all warehouse team members.
• Continually search for new contractors that can deliver both value and quality.
• Performs Janitorial duties over all others.

You will oversee the following:

• Forklift certification per employee
• New employee training on GMP’s, training checklists, warehouse procedures, policies, and OSHA
• Safety and OSHA related requirements
• Monthly Safety Meetings
• Spill Kit Inventory
• Accident investigation

• Able to operate all types of forklifts
• Well-versed in safety processes and procedures
