Entry Level Automotive Technicians

NO AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

At Valvoline Instant Oil Change we provide hands-on training for you to become a Certified Technician.

A day in the life of an Automotive Technician at VIOC combines automotive and customer service skills at a fast-paced level.

We are seeking individuals who are customer service minded, enjoy having fun at work in a team environment, don’t mind getting a little dirty on the job and like having a sense of accomplishment to a path of career success!

Technician Job Duties:

• Perform top-sided services which include inspecting/replacing engine/cabin air filters, checking all fluid levels and tire pressure
• Visually verify and perform proper procedure call-outs to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly
• Perform bottom-side services by lubricating necessary components of the chassis/driveline, draining the oil from the vehicle, replacing the oil filter, and checking gear boxes
• Inspect and replace bulbs, wipers, and tire rotations
• Ensure guests are taken care of in a professional and timely manner while maintaining a positive attitude
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Must be able to work outside, even in extreme conditions
• Must have quick reflexes and ability to work in a physically demanding fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have full body mobility (twisting, turning, bending, squat, go up and down stairs and working for extensive periods of time with hands above head)
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Be physically fit with unimpaired balance or mobility to work around floor openings with a depth up to 10 feet
• Must be able to guide in vehicles weighing up to 10,000 GVWR

Technician Qualifications:

• Must be 17+ years of age
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Possess the desire and ability to learn
• Is energetic, enthusiastic and confident
• Have a high sense of urgency, lots of drive and self-motivated
• Love being a part of a winning team
