We have an immediate opening for a full time Medical Billing Coordinator. Bilingual Russian/English required.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Billing Coordinator assists with accurate, detailed, and thorough medical billing processes. Utilize your billing knowledge to ensure the timely and accurate processing of patient accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review patient medical records to ensure that all transactions have been entered correctly and identify any errors
- Communicate with insurance companies about claim status and other issues that may arise during the billing process
- Process insurance claim forms and medical bills for in-network services rendered by physicians
- Submit and manage the prior authorization process for medical services
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims they have submitted for reimbursement
- Update all fee charges and procedural codes on a timely basis
- Maintaining and updating records
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Other duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Degree in healthcare or business administration, or related field preferred
- 1+ year experience in a medical billing role
- Russian speaking required
- Working knowledge of different types of insurance plans – commercial, Medicare and Medicaid
- Efficient multitasking and time management skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
