Velocity Advisory Group Hiring for Human Resources 1099 Partner at Remote Full Time

Velocity Advisory Group is looking for a Human Resource contractor who can dedicate up to 10-12 hours of time per month. This position will be involved in some or all of the following:

Payroll Administration

• Processes semi-monthly payroll using RunPayroll platform
• Adds special payments to employees when provided by accounting
• Enters reoccurring monthly reimbursements (cell, auto and Take Command)
• Processes 401k deferral entries in Empower after payroll is finalized
• Calculate final payments to terminated employees
• Prints and mails W2s
• Handles payrolls corrections
• Updates employee data on an as-needed basis
• Supports accounting whenever a new state tax setup is required
• Provides quarterly payroll reports to finance team

HR Administration

• Creating or assisting with the creation of job descriptions
• Posting job descriptions and filtering resumes
• Maintain and/or develop records related to recruiting, promotion, and termination
• Provides onboarding support to new hires (new hire orientation and enrollment support)
• Collects data from new hires and adds employee to payroll system
• Collects I9 information
• Set up and manage eVerify
• Advise on situations involving performance improvement and/or termination
• Processes terminations in payroll system and sends out required notices

Benefits Administration

• Download monthly QSHERA statement from Take Command
• Adds and adjusts supplemental benefits deductions to payroll (Aflac)
• Adds new employees and terminates former employees in the Empower 401k system and sends out required notices
• Sets up new employees in Take Command and assists with questions

Requirements

• Must be available up to 10-12 hours per week, with some of that during normal business hours (Eastern Time Zone)
• Must commit to response time within 24 hours
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2-4 years Human Resource experience
• HRIS experience preferred
• General knowledge in the use of MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Ability to learn and apply principles and practices of Human Resources activities
• Ability to take direction and work well as part of a remote team
• Good time management skills
• Must demonstrate a high attention to detail

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 – $75.00 per hour
