Vet’s Best Friend is hiring an experienced professional to join our team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist! The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for working alongside the Human Resource Team, among other teams, to ensure our mission ‘to take care of the people who take care of our pets’ is at the forefront of everything we do. This position will own and guide the full recruitment life cycle including finding internal talent and building and sourcing strong, diverse talent pipelines. They will nurture authentic relationships with candidates and cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of conventional and non-conventional sourcing to attract high quality veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians.
Since we are in a unique and exciting growth period, our Talent Acquisition Specialist will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Vet’s Best Friend executive leadership team to collaborate on current and future staffing plans and recruitment strategies.
Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for:
· Acting as a partner, consultant, and adviser to management by developing, and driving strategies to recruit talent in a highly competitive veterinary market.
· Executing the sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluation, and offer negotiation process, plus working to maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all positions.
· Leveraging all aspects of sourcing and candidate development through recruiting platforms.
· Establishing networking organizations and participate in pertinent career fairs and conferences to ensure a robust pipeline of qualified and talented associates (travel may be required).
· Tracking metrics and analyzing, preparing, and presenting data for strategic analysis of recruiting campaigns, plus overseeing recruiting expense budgets.
· Committing to providing a first in class candidate experience throughout the hiring process – creating and managing recruitment programs such as our Employee Referral Program, Campus program, etc.
· Other duties as assigned.
Please note, this position is 90% based in our Waltham, Massachusetts home office and 10% field / travel based.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
· 2 years of recruiting experience, preferably high-volume.
· Work experience should include retail hiring, working with agencies, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
Personal Qualifications:
· Proven success delivering recruiting results individually or as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding, high growth environment.
· Strong customer management skills with ability to build trust and credibility with both candidates & hiring managers.
Specific Proficiencies:
· Ability to use Recruiting Platforms, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
· Ability to drive recruiting campaigns and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
