Minimum Qualifications
Incumbent should have knowledge of Virginia wildlife and natural resources. Ability to properly operate and arrange maintenance of trucks, small watercraft, outboard motors and trailers, and specialized fisheries equipment. Ability to work independently, to adapt to changing situations and conditions, to work outdoors in various weather conditions, to lift moderate to heavy loads, to carry moderate loads over rough terrain, to read detailed maps and other instructional information, and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to have non-traditional flexible work schedule with the expectation of working weekdays, weekends, and holidays. High School diploma, GED, or the equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or other software programs. Ability to enter and compile data in order to generate reports.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Natural Resources, Biology, Environmental Sciences or related field.
