Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the organization has an engaged work environment that adheres to all applicable employment laws at all times through effective coaching/education of management, and prompt review and resolution of employee concerns. Responsible for oversight of all HR administrative processes, including but not limited to recruiting and new hire onboarding, benefits, FMLA/EHCL, ADAAA, training, HRIS data entry/administration, personnel files/record retention, employee recognition, and all other miscellaneous HR processes.
Essential:
-Provide coaching and counseling to management and staff.
-Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues and employee/supervisor conflict.
-Lead employee relations investigations, including employment law violation complaints.
-Review all employee discipline situations where final warning or termination are recommended, working with management to ensure fair and appropriate action is being taken. Make recommendations for action to department Director, HR Director and GM.
-Responsible for an effective and efficient recruiting process, including direct supervision of the HR Specialist/Generalist. This will include coaching hiring managers on best practices in selection, monitoring quality of hires and making recommendations for selection process improvements.
-Responsible for effective and efficient operation of all HR administrative processes, including direct supervision of the HR Specialist. This will include, but is not limited to new hire onboarding process, employee PAF changes, HRIS data entry, personnel and other employment related files and record retention, employee recognition, and all other miscellaneous HR administrative processes.
-Handle all unemployment protests and hearings, coordinating with department managers for attendance.
-Serve as a resource for Employee Guide interpretation.
-Review ADAAA requests and work with department managers to create reasonable accommodations.
-Responsible for leading the company employee recognition program, and coordinating all-employee events (employee appreciation days/picnic, holiday party, anniversary celebrations, etc.).
-Review all voluntary resignations, handle exit interviews, track/analyze exit interview data, and work with management as needed to respond to trends in exit data.
-Review all performance reviews, providing coaching and feedback to management as needed, and track overdue reviews.
-Management of Uniform Room, to include direct supervision of the Seamstress.
-Assist the Trainer as needed in facilitating training.
-Job duties, tasks, work hours, work requirements, and other duties as assigned may be added or changed at any time.
Required:
-Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or related/relevant degree.
-Minimum of 3 years of experience with human resources generalist responsibilities, including employee relations, management/employee conflict resolution and coaching, employment law and related investigations, FMLA and ADAAA administration
-Demonstrated excellence in utilizing interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, organizational/time management, and analytical skills.
-Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access) as well as experience with daily utilization of an HRIS.
-Must possess strong interpersonal skills to associate with all internal and external guests.
-Must be able to prioritize the workload and have excellent time management skills.
-Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
-Must be able to communicate clearly, both in writing and orally, with all employees and guest.
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with employees personnel records and confidential matters.
-Access to sensitive information that requires the highest level of integrity and honesty.
Schedule:
Full-time that varies based on events and holidays and includes days, nights and weekends.
Salary:
Based on experience with 40 hours PTO upon hire
