Job Summary:

The Vice President of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the companyxe2x80x99s operations teams, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current needs and future growth. This position s to the Chief Operations Officer.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drive operational efficiencies through intense focus on data and the numerical components of e-commerce operations.
• Lead a group of operations teams, including fulfillment, supply chain, customer service and stylist teams.
• Uphold the profitability and values of the company through operations leadership.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
• In collaboration with executive leadership, establish, implement and communicate the strategic direction of the companyxe2x80x99s operations teams.
• Collaborate with other departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Identify, recommend and implement new processes, technologies and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources.
• Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing development, organization and facilities are in line with the organizationxe2x80x99s business plan and vision.
• Establish, communicate and implement operations-related policies, practices and standards.
• Review and approve budgeting and staffing requirements.
• Present periodic performance s and metrics to executive leadership.
• Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
• Identify training needs and ensure proper training is developed and provided for all operations teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Recruit, interview, hire and train management-level staff on the operations teams.
• Oversee the daily workflow of the operations teams.
• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
• Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment and aptitude for a numerical approach to labor cost management and capital expenditures.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience hiring, training and managing hourly employees and supervisors.
• Tech savvy including Google and Microsoft productivity tools. Bonus if you have experience with Tableau and/or ZenDesk.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics or other industry-related field required.
• At least five years of upper management experience overseeing operations teams at an e-commerce company or 3PL.
• A proven track record of streamlining and improving operations at an e-commerce company.
• Experience with an e-commerce company or division managing fulfillment, supply chain and customer service teams, including

• Overseeing operations teams focused on the customer experience at all points.
• Driving significant growth at an emerging company.
• Managing seasonal fluctuations at an e-commerce company.
• Experience overseeing customer service operations
• Experience with remote and or international teams. Bonus if you have experience managing teams located in the Philippines.
• Experience working with an in-house IT team to develop technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
