Actively supports and upholds the City’s stated mission and values. Employee supports the Water Production Section in cost effectively and efficiently producing potable water that meets or exceeds all requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act; and manages the quantity of water to provide adequate flows for customers and fire suppression. This position specializes in operations duties and offers assistance, skills, and abilities to other production disciplines with emphasis on awareness of impact of decisions as they relate to regulatory compliance. This position involves physical exertion and frequent exposure to dangerous toxic chemicals and materials such as chlorine, caustic soda, aluminum-based coagulants, and lime. Work may occasionally require heavy physical exertion performed under adverse weather conditions at high altitude.
