Full Job Description
Supplier Advertising & Merchandising Services (SAMS) is responsible for the strategy and sales of self-service sponsored listings (Wayfair Sponsored Products, WSP), on-site and off-site display ads (Display), Wayfair Sponsored Shops (WSS), and Supplier-funded marketing (SFM, comprising event sponsorships, email, etc.). Our mission is to drive commercial and operational excellence across a suite of advertising offerings and advise suppliers how to use these effectively to grow their businesses on our sites.
We are looking for an Ad Solutions Manager to own end-to-end optimization strategies and solutions for our self-service sponsored listings (Wayfair Sponsored Products). This person will play a critical role in informing Wayfair’s supplier advertising strategy when it comes to growing the demand with our supplier base. Our work is technically challenging, high-impact, and heavily relied upon for strategic decision-making. This role provides significant exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work with a variety of cross-functional partners across the organizations.
A successful Ad Solutions Analyst is driven, has an ownership mindset, and is comfortable tackling ambiguous problems. The ideal candidate is a highly quantitative individual who loves working with and analyzing data to uncover actionable business insights for our Advertising Sales team. Ad Solutions Analyst must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Become a product superuser who is knowledgeable in every facet of our performance advertising products and is seen as a subject matter expert with all cross-functional partners, specifically Sales and Product
- Own end-to-end learning agenda for our performance advertising products to develop optimization strategies that will improve supplier performance, drive demand, and grow the business
- Conduct data driven analyses to uncover insights and recommendations that enable us to provide more tailored performance strategies to our suppliers
- Work cross-functionally with our Manages Sales, Product, and Analytics teams to build go-to-market sales strategies for our sponsored products to help grow our suppliers’ businesses
- Develop case studies and optimization guides based on data-driven insights
- Own and track against key performance metrics to show the impact of your work
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative and technically-rigorous field required
- 5+ years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally in advertising, performance marketing and/or analytics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
- Strong analytical background with demonstrated experience leveraging data from a multitude of sources to solve complex problems, tell a story, and impact overarching strategy
- Proficient knowledge of SQL / Eden, Google Cloud Platform, and Excel / Google Sheets
- Familiarity with visualization tools, such as Google Data Studio, Looker, or similar
- Specialties: Data Analysis, Business Intelligence to empower sales teams, Performance Marketing, Campaign Development and Management, Keyword Research and Analysis, Sales Analytics & Measurement
