Primary Function
This is a developmental role on 1st shift. Within 2 years, you will be expected to have the skills and knowledge that is required to be promoted to a Human Resources Manager. The flexibility to relocate from this location in the future is expected.As a Human Resources Supervisor, your primary goal will be to create and work to maintain a positive work climate within the union free manufacturing workforce. In this role, you will be accountable for continuous process and employee satisfaction improvement in the following areas: policy interpretation, performance management, supervisory training, employee satisfaction, grievances, turnover, absenteeism, and employee morale. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of an annual site specific HR Plan that defines the key Human Resources goals and process improvements for the location.
Responsibilities and Tasks
You will be a strategic business partner providing thoughts and insights on how to drive the business from a people-perspective; lead functional/business initiatives around engagement, diversity, talent management, training, and change management.Build organizational effectiveness and capability through world class change leadership practices and employee relations strategies, which enable the Company to attain its business objectives and build employee commitment.Provide coaching and guidance, to include conflict and grievance resolution, due to personal and/or collective bargaining agreement disputes in a union environment.Lead corporate Human Resources initiatives.Serve as an employee champion to ensure processes and relationships are fair and equitable and deliver communication and support systems to ensure all employees are fully engaged in the business and are fully committed to its success.Ensure full compliance of HR initiatives (staffing, regulatory processes, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development) to drive growth initiatives.Administer Company and Human Resource policies and procedures to make sure they are executed with excellence.Drive recruitment, selection and succession planning strategies for internal customers. This position will supervise some HR staff.You will be expected to learn all parts of the complex’s production and financial processes.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Skill Levels and Work Experience
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Laws/Regulations. At least one year of Human Resources experience, or experience obtained through a college internship program.
Preferred Skill Levels and Work Experience
Knowledge and/or Experience in Manufacturing, preferably in poultry. 1 year of experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or Supervisor.
