West Texas Pain Institute (WTXPI) is a rapidly growing interventional pain management practice.
We are looking for Medical Assistants to join our Patient Experience Department. This department focuses on delivering the “superior service” that defines the WTXPI patient experience.
Medical Assistant –
Responsibilities
- Takes patient histories and vital signs
- Prepares patients for examination and/or procedures
- Assists the physician and mid-level provider with examinations and treatments
- Performs selected diagnostic tests as directed by the physician
- Assists physicians and mid-levels during examinations
- Performs basic laboratory tests
- Sterilizes medical instruments as appropriate
- Prepares and administers medications as directed by a physician
- Enters data into patient’s electronic record; scans and indexes documents accurately to patient’s electronic medical records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Medical assistant experience
- one year pain management experience (preferred)
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and EHR management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 – $13.50 per hour

Experience:
- Vital Signs Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
