Wet & Forget is looking for an accountant to join their team. We are a growing business in Elgin, IL, and are excited to add to the Wet & Forget family!

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions
• Prepare budget forecasts
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Provide support in the annual audit.

• Assist with inventory reconciliations/preparing inventory procedures.

• Answer customer service questions.

• Perform as needed special projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller.
• Provide assistance to other departments with administrative duties as required.

• Comply with financial policies and regulations

Skills

• 2-5 years’ Work experience as an Accountant is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
