WHERE YOU FIT IN

The Supply Chain Coordinator will improve the efficiency of supply chain operations through data collection and analysis. They will develop actionable recommendations that improve on-time delivery and fill rates while minimizing inventory carrying costs and material write-downs or write-offs. They will also provide direct support to the Senior Buyer in the creation and management of Purchase Orders and to the Production Planner in the creation and management of Work Orders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Supply Chain Analysis:

• Perform bi-weekly analysis of inventory data, identify aging and obsolescence risks, define, and implement risk mitigation actions.
• Perform monthly analysis of projected ending inventory balances and cash flow.
• Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by management.

Procurement Support:

• Manage direct procurement of non-Bill of Materials items.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Enforce vendor compliance with quality standards.
• Enforce vendor compliance with on-time delivery standards.
• Provide backup to the Buyer in creation and maintenance of Purchase Orders for Ingredients and Packaging.

Production Planning Support:

• Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd Party Logistics Partners (including periodic on-site visits in the greater Chicagoland area)
• Create and manage Rework Work Orders for 3rd Party Distribution Centers.
• Create and manage Shipper Work Orders for 3rd Party Distribution Centers
• Ensure adequate supply of corrugated shipper components.
• Ensure compliance with Minimum Order Quantities and Lead Times.
• Report status on weekly call with Sales Team.
• Distribute Work Orders and follow-up on status to ensure timely completion.
• Provide backup to the Production Planner in creation and maintenance of Work Orders for Elgin Production Facility.

Customer Service Support:

• Provide Backup to the Senior Director of Operations in creation of Master Data for Item Setup (i.e. UPC’s, GTIN’s, Item #’s and Item Descriptions).
• Generate monthly reports related to On Time Delivery and Fill Rates.
• Work cross functionally with Customer Service Reps to allocate inventory to liquidation customer orders.

Support continuous improvement within Supply Chain Organization and across other Functional Areas

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or another relevant field.
• Experience in supply chain management, production planning, procurement or related disciplines is required.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and/or Warehouse Management Systems.
• Solid analytical skills and proficient in spreadsheet applications.
