Position Summary
Senior Accountants perform a variety of public accounting duties with above-average knowledge of all areas of the practice with individual and business tax and auditing being the primary areas of concentration. Senior Accountants are responsible for the delivery of tax and audit services for multiple clients in a variety of industries. All Seniors gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements. Seniors are expected to develop areas of specific expertise that bring extra value to their clients and the firm. Anyone performing in this role must have exceptional communication skills allowing for effective relationship building at all levels and must be able to work independently and in teams to accomplish a goal.

A typical work week includes 40 hours; Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position requires additional hours when necessary to complete special projects and during tax preparation season from January through April each year. A Staff Accountant is expected to work 2,250 hours per year with an average annual charge rate of 70%.
