Human Resources Leader
The Human Resources Leader will lead all human resources efforts in the region including hiring and recruiting, training and retention, performance management, labor and employee relations, public and community relations and employee branding efforts.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Partner with management to advice and counsel on personnel issues
· Identifies legal requirements and governmental reporting regulations
· Plans and conducts new employee orientation and paperwork
· Keeps records and administers of benefits plans & compensation programs
· Coordinates on-boarding and continuous training following company’s guidelines
· High focus on recruiting for new stores, identifying, evaluation and solving hiring challenges
· Provides leadership and guidance with all Human Resources functions to the retail management team and all field employees
· Employee Culture: Support an inclusive and equitable culture and uphold our Code of Conduct and commitment to a work environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, bullying, and intimidation
· Promote a culture of trust and inclusivity amongst employees, maintaining open lines of communication across all levels
· Drive the store’s recognition initiatives, fostering teamwork and fun creating a monthly calendar of employee events aiming to reward store teams and strengthen employee engagement and morale
· Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
· Provide facility supervision on employee relations matters including; investigations, resolving conflict, and communications in regards to employee questions, issues, or concerns
· Establish, evaluate and maintain departmental reports and key indicators Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to provide continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
· Propose, publish and administer personnel policies
· Prepare and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data. Maintain HRIS integrity
· Respond to any questions and/or requests by governmental agencies, including employee complaints
· Ensure the completion of training programs
· Partner with Managers on onboarding and offboarding processes
· Serve as the main point of contact for the HR reporting, resolution, and appropriate escalation of all employee-related issues
· Conduct timely investigations, on all employee relations matters, leading these with confidentiality, trust, compliance, and empathy
· Partner with the Legal team to ensure compliance with all employment regulations
· Administer unemployment claims
· 30-40% travel within region
· Other assigned tasks etc
Qualifications:
· 5 years’ experience in HR management or supervision required
· FMLA, workers comp, OSHA and recruitment experience
· Broad knowledge of federal and state employment laws
· General knowledge of benefits and compensation administration
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Excellent technical skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and HR-SAP)
· Have a positive spirit and eagerness to take initiative and to take on responsibilities to optimize the team leader’s effectiveness
· Must have exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
· Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
· Flexible and able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
· Displays initiative and a strong sense of personal motivation.
