Excellent entry position into the HR field! The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the human resource department. Duties include filing, office maintenance, maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Provide backup support to all areas of HR including front desk, benefits, recruitment, training, onboarding, etc. Human Resources hours are 8:00am-4:00p, Monday-Friday.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensures customer satisfaction through prompt, efficient and quality staff service. Maintains positive guest relations at all times, resolving complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Greet HR guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service.
Responsible for maintaining the active and termed file rooms and ensuring paperwork is filed in a timely manner.
Assists in organizing paperwork for unemployment verifications and hearings.
Provide backup support to other areas of HR including front desk, benefits, recruitment, training, etc.
Handles incoming employment verifications for active and termed employees.
Handles all routine office needs: copying, faxing documents, collating materials for orientation/training, replenishing forms in distribution file, etc.
Use HR databases to review and possibly input new hires information.
Promotes confidentiality of personnel files, records and HR actions at all times.
Assists in maintaining the HR reception area and work space in a neat, organized manner at all times.
Complies with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
Promotes a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests. Promptly reports concerns to supervisor.
Promotes internal guest service standards through courteous and respectful behavior at all times.
Other related duties as assigned or directed.
