Job Description
This position is responsible for a broad range of basic warehouse activities that are performed to keep the facility operating efficiently and effectively. This position is responsible for the following tasks skill sets and certifications:
Responsibilities:
- Repetitive movements and standing
- Must be able to lift/ carry, push and /or pull items up to a maximum of 30 lbs.
- Pick/sorting/packing daily orders
- Palletize completed orders
- Pre-build and stage packaging materials
- Load and unload trucks
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Perform other duties as directed by Warehouse Manager
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
- Transports incoming and outgoing inventory to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or cherry picker
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
- Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-year customer service experience
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Team Player with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
Desired/Preferred Skills:
Two or more years of related experience or equivalent with shipping and handling methods.
Working knowledge and expertise in Forklift operation, maintenance, order processing, receiving, replenishing, and returns.
- Working expertise in the operation of Forklift and other machinery certifications
- Working knowledge with digital scanners
- Basic arithmetic skills and reasoning
- Solid understanding and knowledge of inventory practices
- Familiar with WMS applications
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Adhering to daily schedules and deadlines
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow, and deadlines
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
