As an HR Partner, you will serve in a Generalist capacity in partnership with program division leaders to guide staff recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and performance initiatives. You will demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong communication, a commitment to problem-solving and innovation. You’ll have a hand in developing ongoing strategies to increase employee retention and role satisfaction.
As the HR Partner/Generalist, you will support a collaborative, team-oriented environment by providing a myriad of HR services to their assigned division(s):
Recruit, onboard, engage and retain the best qualified mental health, criminal justice, and social service professionals.
Coordinate the employee life cycle including performance motivation and management, learning/development opportunities, and benefits administration.
Coach managers through employee relations situations to assure alignment with WCS mission and core values, and state, federal, and contractual regulations.
You will also contribute to the success and advancement of the HR Department:
Contribute to decision making with senior leaders as it pertains to personnel risk management, adhering to state and federal regulations and agency culture
Provide technical assistance and training in the use of our HRIS Systems
Assist in the creation/revision of policy, procedures, forms, and Employment Handbook
Participate in management training to include creation of guides and in-person training
Collaborate to help create departmental efficiency and process streamlining
Participate in and assist with annual benefit meetings with brokers and external vendors
Stay abreast of HR trends and laws and ensure agency compliance as a result
Respond to external challenges to personnel actions/decision

Minimal Qualifications: BA Degree in HR or related field and three or more years of experience as an HR professional. Prior use of HRIS (like Ceridian Dayforce, Relias, Cyber Recruiter) is required. PHR or SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification and prior experience in social services recruitment is preferred.
As a strong candidate, you will also have experience in:
HR management in a social services or related organization of similar size and diversity of programs.
Administration of FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Compensation.
Utilizing HR Systems to improve processes and create organizational efficiencies.
Maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality while demonstrating a commitment to a person-centered philosophy.
Managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and communicate your goal and initiative progress to various agency stakeholders.
