Automotive Assembly Conveyor Engineer Description of Duties:

• Develop Master Schedule: Lead entire master schedule planning for assigned conveyor projects
• Prepare engineering estimates, calculations, drawings, designs, and project reports
• Chair project meetings, engineering meetings, controls meetings and address open issues
• Direct and review Conveyor Approval drawings for format and compliance to specification standards
• Procurement Planning: Generate specifications, run-off, buy-off
• Capacity Planning: Collect volume estimate/requirements
• Provide mechanical & controls design direction based upon Process requirements and specification standards
• Conveyor design and Installation Coordination with North America & Japanese Suppliers
• Installation: On-site coordination of conveyor/equipment installation
• Work closely with Construction Coordinator to ensure high quality, on time installs
• Work closely with Safety Manager to ensure 100% safe work environment, including application of all Safety Standards
• Prepare and track project scheduling and manpower requirements for the installment of building steel, conveyor & equipment pit construction, building facilities and equipment installation
• Ensure clear hourly schedule by subcontractors, with clear grasp of progress
• Ensure clear confirmation plan, coordinated with Maintenance and Assembly
• Supervise start-up and debug of conveyor/equipment systems

Automotive Assembly Conveyor Engineer Qualifications:

• Microsoft Office 365 skills (Power Point, Outlook, Excel, Word)
• AutoCAD and/or CATIA.
• Conveyor Chain pull Analysis
• Conveyor Buffer Min/Max data sheets / analysis capability
• Conveyor Structural Steel & Concrete Kip Loading Analysis
• Understanding of Conveyor Simulation to identify systems bottlenecks coordination level OK, to work with vendors to complete. Direct use experience not required)
• Cycle Time development (Conveyor and Lifters).
• PFMA (Process Failure Modes and Analysis) Experience.

Automotive Assembly Conveyor Engineer Additional Desired:

• Spanish / English language capable
• Candidate should be eligible to work in US and Mexico.
• Automotive Conveyor and Automotive Assembly Equipment Experience
• Implementation of National building codes (BOCA, NEC, OSHA, SMACNA, and ANSI).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $75,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
