KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Analytics
- Build and run reports in a CRM system and SQL, and transfer into Excel, PowerPoint, or Tableau reporting packages or dashboards
- Act as a thought partner to sales staff by uncovering desired outcomes and goals, and develop actionable reporting, with a focus on data visualization and storytelling to drive results
- Continually improve reporting ease of use and self-service in order to reach Year Up growth goals, primarily through the use of advanced SQL queries, views and Tableau Dashboards
- Drive sales success through analysis of sales trends by developing reporting that identifies best practices that should be syndicated and provide an early warning system for gaps to goals
- Act as a business partner with IT & Business Intelligence to provide feedback and recommendations to enhance CRM process and workflow changes in support of CE business processes and reporting needs
- Act as reporting expert in CRM support and CE reporting, fielding questions and inquiries from the CE Data Quality Assurance Analyst as needed
- Build relationships with CE staff to help understanding of KPI’s and measurements, and ensure needs are being met and evolve research & analytics as needed
- Analyze large complex data sets for trends and causality between different data points
- Support our Service Delivery team with analyzing survey results for key forecasting indicators of outcomes, and partner with the team to scope and build more efficient and automated reporting packages where there is an opportunity
- Ability to field multiple reporting requests and prioritize importance while meeting deadlines
- Responsible for testing and running bi-annual sales cycle site and account scorecards, and ability to critically think and develop new ideas for reporting that can drive success
- Comfort in running reporting packages that will be used by senior leadership across the national organization
- Accountable for quarterly sales reporting to National Board & Revenue Committee
- Other duties as assigned
Market Research
- Act as a thought partner in effectively scaling market research for a large sales team working towards ambitious metrics
- Partner with the Business Intelligence and Program Delivery Teams to analyze external market research data sets and map to Year Up data architecture
- Analyze external market research data sets and build out standardized reporting packages and dashboards that uncover opportunities with new and existing clients for partnerships, and highlight areas of opportunity for partnership with Year Up
- Deliver and communicate strategic research that highlights entry-level employment opportunities as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives with Year Up’s corporate partners
- Continuously improve delivery of digestible and meaningful data to guide effective decision-making for cross functional teams within Year Up
- Pair Market Research data points with Year Up data points in order to uncover correlations, areas of improvement and opportunities for growth and scale, and communicate to senior decision makers to drive strategic areas of investment for Year Up
- Pair Market Research with internal Year Up KPI’s and metrics, and package and communicate for sales team users so they understand the importance and value of the joint strategy
Salesforce CRM
- Work directly with the Director of Business Analytics & Strategy and the Corporate Engagement Data Quality Assurance Analyst to communicate and provide recommendations for CRM requirements needed to perform your role
- Support the CE Quality Assurance Data Analyst with campaign management for Corporate Engagement events and communication
- Support the CE Quality Assurance Data Analyst with development and maintenance plans of salesforce dashboards
Site/Learning Community Member
- Serve as an advisor or mentor for a small number of current students
- Participate in and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students
- Participate in staff meetings and trainings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of experience in an Analytics or Data Management role
- Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, and countifs/sumifs formulas) and PowerPoint skills required with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced SQL skills including analyzing and manipulating data, joins, filtering and group by functions
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Experience using Tableau to visualize and present data, with prior published Dashboard experience preferred
- A background in Statistics or Computer Science to find patterns and causality between data preferred
- Demonstrated experience compiling analyzing, and presenting data to inform sales strategy
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and desire to problem solve
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical users and stakeholders is required
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present to all levels of management
- Prior sales support is a plus
- Desire to work in a fluid dynamic organization

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Salary: Competitive and commensurate with relevant experience and skills.
