Responsibilities:
We are looking for an exceptionally talented and motivated individual to join our Recruiting Department as a Recruiting Assistant. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of areas across the team.
Administrative Support 50%
Possess an understanding of programs/services within all regions or states to promptly reply to inquiries from active and potential candidates
Manage department phone line by accepting inbound calls, answering questions, forwarding messages, following-up with recruiters and entering notes into YVHire
Respond to general recruiting inquiries sent through Youth Villages’ website
Obtain monthly updates and compile master list of sponsored jobs for online job boards
Collect and code receipts and billing statements for submission to the Finance Department
Record updates and take notes during weekly department meeting
Compile master calendar of all approved career fairs each semester
Complete projects for leadership and provide support for the department as needed
Organize office supply requests and fulfillment as needed
Assist internship coordinator with applicant follow-up via phone and email prior to start of summer internship program
Set up, tear down and clean up event spaces for various in-person hiring events
Talent Attraction Support 25%
Attend and participate in talent attraction team meetings
Collaborate with talent attraction leaders to create sourcing plans to attract candidates for hotspots
Search for passive candidates via job board platforms and conduct email outreach
Moderate chat pods during virtual career fairs and informational sessions
Design social media posts using Canva platform during assigned social media week
Maintain inventory of recruiting materials (flyers, swag, etc.) and ship to staff in remote offices
Hiring Manager Support and Requisition Management 25%
Provide support across the team by covering requisitions and prescreens as needed
Contribute to candidate processing by prescreening and submitting to hiring manager requisitions
Develop and maintain positive relationships with hiring managers
Partner with hiring managers to problem solve throughout the interview process
Attend and participate hiring manager relations team meetings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (required)
Experience in a recruitment setting (required)
Experience providing outstanding customer service (required)
Experience working or volunteering with a nonprofit (preferred)
Experience working with an ATS, CRM, HRIS or other relational database (preferred)
Demonstrated skills in time management and prioritization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
