Accountant – Job/Contract Compliance and Accounts Payable

Lakeview Construction LLC is a general contractor located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. We build retail stores throughout the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. We have exposure to hundreds of top name retail clients throughout this service area and deal primarily in negotiated contracts. A high percentage of our work is repeat business. The environment is professional, yet fast paced.

This accounting department position is highly involved as support and backup for the entire accounts payable process. Typical daily tasks include determining, updating and recording subcontractor document compliance review, the analysis and recording of subcontractor – project cost transactions, optical scanning and digital indexing of supporting documentation in relation to all accounts payable transactions, analysis and recording of employee expense reimbursement including sales/use tax compliance, job cost record audit and review, as well as various ad hoc projects (reports, information requests, etc.). The role may also expand to include involvement in the billing/collection process, as well as some payroll related tasks.

Strong communication skills are essential to perform many of the roles of this position. High attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple tasks is also critical. Solid technical knowledge of the accounting process and the construction industry is a benefit; however training will be provided to supplement and assist in these areas.

The position works closely with our accounts payable manager, as well as the rest of the accounting department, and reports directly to the Controller.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $850.00 – $1,100.00 per week
