Summary/Objective: The Senior Accountant will manage the daily operations and strategic objectives of the Company’s accounting and finance functions with the Controller. In addition to being a key participant in implementing new systems (NetSuite) and ensuring a smooth monthly close process, the senior accountant will assist with all accounting/finance functions of the company; inclusive but not limited to: payroll accounting, fixed asset accounting, prepaid expenses, general ledger accounting, general ledger reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, financial reporting, disbursements/AP, insurance and budgeting/forecasting.

Essential Functions:

• Manages and performs all major aspects of month-end accounting, including: fixed assets; insurance; prepaids; payroll accounting; cash management and revenue
• Prepare journal entries as needed
• Prepare account reconciliations as needed
• Participate in the monthly financial close process
• Participate in financial reviews/audits as needed
• Primary backup for all necessary accounts payable functions including entering bills, paying bills, reporting and research on any and all questions pertaining to outstanding expenses
• Oversight and development of the company’s credit card program. All credit card reporting and monitoring of expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Strict adherence to all internal policies and GAAP requirements
• Participate in special projects as needed
• Prompt and regular attendance
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Job Experience, and/or Competencies:

• At least two years previous relevant experience preferred
• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills preferred
• The ability to develop and communicate goals in support of the business’ mission
• Seeks opportunities to develop experience and knowledge; as well as providing opportunities for employee development and engagement of team members
• Establishes structures and processes to plan and manage the orderly implementation of procedures and efficient improvements throughout the function
• Accurately anticipates the implications of events or decisions for various stakeholders in the organization and plans strategy accordingly

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not currently have supervisory responsibility but may in the future

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
