We are looking for a Seasoned Chief People Officer to work with the Senior Leadership Team to shape our Company’s strategy, serving as the internal expert on human resources and talent.
This is a full-time role, with expectations of being in our Round Rock office at least 50% of the time. You will report directly to the CEO.
Strategic/Enterprise Leadership
· Establishes and implements HR strategies that support the company’s vision, mission, and overall business objectives.
· Functions as a strategic business advisor to the executive team regarding key organizational and management issues.
· Leads Human Resources and Recruiting as an integral and strategic voice and trusted business partner across all operating and support groups.
· Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and identifies new trends that could impact the business and employees.
· Maintains an effective level of business literacy including company goals, mission, financial position, strategy, competition, technology, and culture.
· Maintain third party vendor relationships (payroll, external counsel, etc.)
· Invests significant time in the field (FL, TX, DC, CA, and other states as necessary) and with support team members to identify opportunities, root causes and cost-effective solutions.
Human Resources Leadership
· Acts as an employee champion and change agent by anticipating HR-related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of the employees and with return on investment always in mind.
· Partners with senior leaders to implement and support the Company’s policies, practices and programs.
· Implements and manages compliance efforts with all the labor laws and regulations that govern private companies relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle.
· Develops and manages annual budgets for the HR and Recruiting departments and performs cost and productivity analyses.
· Establishes, implements, manages, and supervises processes that enable HR functions across an increasingly complex organization to include:
(Manage Head of HR Operations) Data, Reporting, and Analytics
· Lead the development of the HR reporting and analytics function to support effective decision making and business needs
· Develop key operational metrics and dashboards for the team and monitor key performance metrics
· Use data to develop solutions to support a best-in-class employee experience that supports the job satisfaction of the team
(Manage Regional HR and Recruiting VPs, Heads of HR National Functions) General People Operations & Business Strategy
· Develop and execute all people related strategies related to Employee Experience, Talent Acquisition, and Culture, Total Rewards, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Learning & Development, Compliance/Core HR, and strategy with a focus on scalable solutions for an increasingly diverse and distributed team.
· Partner with other leaders in the organization to understand short and long-term priorities; ensure alignment of People team strategy that will meet overall goals of the organization
· Anticipate growth and headcount needs to ensure appropriate evolution of Org Structure across all functions in partnership with the leadership team.
· Lead a strategy aimed at creating a best in class employee experience across the organization.
· Partner with functional leaders to refine and own company-wide performance management programs, feedback, promotion, and compensation cycles, as well as other critical people programs.
· Oversee new hire development strategy and provide direction to scale onboarding initiatives, maintaining highly rated employee ramp up and engagement metrics.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a data-driven, strategic, growth-minded, leader with experience in multi-site operations. This person will have proficiency in the full suite of HR disciplines, including operations, diversity, equity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and the ability to align HR strategy with the overall business plan. They will be a culture champion and effective change agent who is energized by being in a hands-on role, supporting the current HR and Recruiting teams in place. They will also be a key leadership team member supporting the broader business strategy.
Key skills and experiences desired include:
· A minimum of 20 (twenty) years of HR experience, with at least 7 (seven) years of executive HR experience in a mid-sized company (greater than 500 employees and or term contractors).
· Proven ability to architect HR strategy to support a high growth, mid-size, and multi-site/state business.
· Prior experience with a company/companies renowned for delivering a uniquely positive HR experience.
· Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems (UKG and Paycom a plus).
· Technological savvy to drive efficiencies and to engage the workforce through innovations in technology solutions.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Strong financial acumen to broadly balance resources and understand the financial implications and tradeoffs of investments in every aspect of the business, including talent.
· A BS degree in business or human resources or equivalent experience; MBA in HR or related field preferred.
· SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
