Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains payroll database and HRIS system, inputs EE data as needed for, salary adjustments, bonus/commission payouts, unpaid leaves, etc.
First point of employee contact regarding issues with payroll processing; pre-tax deductions, etc.
Monitors compliance with FLSA and time and attendance reporting, escalating matters to the Vice President of Human Resources as needed when issues are identified.
Prepares and processes payroll on a bi-weekly payroll frequency.
Manage systems updates, processes and functionality of systems, generate reports as necessary.
Manage payroll paperwork for new hires and departing employees.
Participates in the achievement of department goals, objectives and systems.
Maintains the schedule and conducts all employee benefits orientation meetings.
Works closely with our third-party vendor and performs benefits administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
Works closely with third-party vendor to manage annual open enrollment process; facilitate open enrollment meetings and materials for employees; and ensures accurate and timely completion of enrollment with brokers.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
Works close with Vice President of Human Resources on 401k Audit process, workers’ compensation, FMLA, HIPPA, ADA, COBRA and other leave programs.
When necessary, acts as intake for employee relations matters and escalates to the Vice President of Human Resources for further follow through.
Performs other functions/tasks as may be required by the position and/or directed by the Vice President of Human Resources.
