Responsibilities:
Boise Cascade has an immediate opening within our HR Services department for an HR Services Representative with experience working in a shared services organization that delivers Benefits and HR program administration. Benefit plans include healthcare, insurance, 401(K), pension, short and long-term disability programs. HR programs include FMLA, wellness, employee assistance, service awards, etc.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the delivery of centralized, transaction-based benefits administration and HR/payroll administrative services.
Displays comprehensive understanding of benefit enrollment systems, eligibility and applicable rules.
Responds and researches incoming calls and emails regarding PeopleSoft HRMS, healthcare, welfare, payroll, recruitment, and policy questions or inquiries.
Handles escalated or confrontational calls with minimal assistance and without emotional involvement or reaction.
Analyzes data, makes recommendations taking into account consideration/implication to all modules, (HR/benefits/payroll), of the system, interfaces and programs. Must be aware of all federal regulations to assure compliance of all plans.
Responsible for conducting a variety of benefit/HR presentations, including new employee orientations.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, or equivalent. Strong computer skills required. Must display strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to effectively work in a team/group environment. Must demonstrate effective organization/work management skills. HR/Benefits background and process knowledge are required. Detail and process oriented with excellent communication, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong presentation skills required. Ability to prioritize and work with accuracy under stress and critical time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in related job function. Bilingual language skills a plus. Degree in Human Resources.
