Your Day in the Life
Acts as the primary point of contact for operations leadership for all people related matters.
Partners with operations leadership to build a strong bench of talent, including leading succession planning and talent management processes.
Supervise and coaches HR Coordinator to assist with administrative needs of regional HR.
Champions the development program, providing guidance and insight while ensuring successful and effective use of the tools.
Partners with Talent Acquisition and operations leaders to ensure restaurants are staffed at all levels.
Effectively manages team member relations by coaching leaders through investigations and assisting in the resolution of more complex situations.
Tracks and provides team member relations data/metrics in order to analyze, identify opportunities, and continually improve our restaurant environments.
Manages projects and creates process to help field teams retain talent including talent review and development, merit and compensation calibration, and local, state and federal compliance needs.
Instills a culture of accountability by building leaders’ skills with effective performance management processes.
Educates restaurant leadership and ensures compliance with all employment laws.
Leverages HR metrics to ensure data-driven decision making.
Manages exit interview process and conducts interviews at a management level.
Practices an Ops First culture, using the lens of an operator in all actions and makes sure our mission and values are reflected in our actions.
Contributes to enhancing, creating and implementing HR programs and practices.
What You Bring to the Team
Ability to objectively coach team members and navigate complex, difficult issues.
Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including California (CA).
Excellent analytical abilities and well-developed problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing.
Strong relationship-building skills required to productively interact across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage a diverse workload and changing priorities; exceptional decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Minimal travel required, up to 20%
Bachelor’s degree in business or in human resources management preferred, but not required
Minimum 3 years of human resources experience
Experience working in multi-unit retail or restaurant environment preferred
