Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine manual labor in a variety of indoor and outdoor work areas.
Transport materials, equipment and supplies.
Responsible for event set-ups including placement of tables, seating and flooring.
Work to include cleaning building perimeter and inside facility, cleaning restrooms, removing garbage, setting up furniture and flooring weighing up to and at times over 50 pounds
Work often involves cleaning and providing service for patrons and clients during events.
May be required to operate pick-ups and other small, motorized vehicles. Operate forklifts in support of event operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to perform general laboring/manual work, good physical condition, and the ability to work with hand and power tools is required.
License, Certification, and Other Requirements:
Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must possess or achieve certification as a forklift operator within 90 days of appointment.
You will be successful in this role if you:
possess a general familiarity with small hand tools and power tools, backpack blowers, pressure washers, power scrubbers and floor cleaning and finish machines.
are at least 18 years old at time of application.
work safely while meeting tight deadlines.
possess excellent customer service skills.
have the ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets, event service orders, maps and drawings of event set-up instructions.
work effectively within a very diverse workforce and be effective as a member of a highly motivated team, as well as independently after being given oral or written instructions.
have advanced knowledge in all aspects of cleaning buildings and grounds facilities.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Able to lift 50 pounds and may participate in work that requires frequent lifting of more than 50 pounds.
Able to stand, walk or bend for extended periods of time.
Willing and availability to work varying shifts, including week-ends and holidays.
Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Additional Information:
There are two positions for this recruitment. The first is a full-time position and the second is a part-time position budgeted at 32 hours per week. (Work may be available up to 39 hours per week based on Seattle Center business needs.)
