To establish an Eligible List for the classification of Police/Fire 911 Dispatcher, the City of Middletown will conduct an open competitive examination. All applicants will be required to take a written and listening examination on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Primary responsibilities for this position include receiving, dispatching, and processing calls and messages for police, fire and rescue services. Dispatchers rotate through three separate shifts. Qualified candidates selected for further processing will complete interview, background check, polygraph exams, and a psychological assessment. Salary Range: $37,963 to $52,476 annually plus signing bonus for qualified candidates, shift differential, opportunity for overtime, and comprehensive benefits.
