Description
The HR Advisor is responsible for using a proactive consultative approach with clients to provide customized and practical HR solutions to challenges across a range of HR functions including best practices for talent selection, compensation, employee relations, leave administration, performance management, employee benefits, policies and procedures, training and development, and regulatory compliance. HR Advisor will also drive up efficiency with the iSolved technology, implement appropriate solutions, and move clients from tactical to strategic for better candidate and employee experiences that reduce client turnover and associated issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Consult directly with clients to increase performance and limit liability
Learn client goals by asking the right questions
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in implementation of HR policies and practices to proactively offer solutions that meet client goals and maintain client relationships
Be a resource to the client’s leadership team and an extension of the HR team
Coach clients on compliance and HR best practices relative to their objectives
Stay on top of employment law changes and updates
Evaluate forms, policies, and processes for compliance and improvement and create/revise as needed
Find opportunities for improving HR functions, management effectiveness, turnover, employee engagement, and talent selection and development
Create and deliver training for clients to increase performance and limit liability
Coach managers on employment issues, interviewing, performance management, terminations, preventing and responding to claims
Visit client sites to perform onsite meetings, audits, and trainings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
SHRM or HRCI preferred
Strong HR Generalist: 5+ years of HR experience with at least 2 years in HR consulting with emphasis on employee relations, employee engagement, compliance, policies and processes, training, and coaching leadership teams
Computer proficiency: Microsoft Suite, G-Suite, payroll reporting and HR admin familiarity
Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws: FMLA, ADA, EEO and EEO-1, FLSA, I-9s, benefits administration, audits, NLRB, OSHA record keeping, background/drug test process
Experience investigating and managing claims: workers comp, unemployment, wage/hr, and EEOCPhysical Demands and Work Environment
The ability to solve HR related problems and communicate with multiple clients
