Performs routine, elementary lettering, tracing and drafting work under close to general supervision; carries out progressively difficult tasks for training and developmental purposes; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancy:
There is one vacancy with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. The duties of this position will be performed under close supervision and involve the processing of new water service applications and revisions to existing services; determining proper changes for services and meters; checking and clearing applications for building, excavation and relocation permits; preparing routine maps, tracings and sketches; and providing information on water service to consumers. Communicate effectively to provide information to various customers.
Special Working Conditions: Must be able to lift and place construction plans or other documents which may weigh up to 30 pounds for review. Must be able to communicate effectively orally or in writing.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school with courses in mathematics and mechanical drawing. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license, as required.
