The HR and Payroll coordinator will coordinate and assist our HR team in providing any support they may need in fulfilling day-to-day tasks and all payroll responsibilities. This is an active role in supporting our Department Managers and our Team Members. This position will require absolute attention to detail and an above-reproach commitment to protecting highly confidential information at all times.
What You Will Do
Assist HR leadership with employee onboarding and related activities
Coordinate with HR to ensure employees are supported with company programs such as benefit programs, 401Ks, and training internship programs
Assist with employee access to various levels of HR materials.
Track and report on new hire training and completion
Update wage garnishments, state levys, and child support
Update data with salary or wage adjustments
Produce reports to upper management upon request
Execute all steps of payroll processing activities
Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order
Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks
Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation)
Handle benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave
Answer employee questions or complaints about salaries and payments
Work with authorities (e.g. IRS) on audits or requests
Must be flexible and a critical thinker as your job duties may change from time to time and your help in other areas will be needed as we grow!

Proven experience in related areas
Familiarity with payroll processes
Working knowledge of paylocity is preferred
Comfortable with Google Sheets (functions, data etc.)
An analytical mind with good math skills
Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching, and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
Work independently with little supervision.
Works with others in a professional manner with sensitivity and genuine interest in people
Ability to plan, implement and coordinate technical and administrative programs
Maintaining confidentiality is essential.
Education:
A degree in the related field is preferred but not necessary.
