The primary purpose and function of the HR Coordinator is to aid with and facilitate the human resources processes. The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the human resources function including onboarding and offboarding employees, record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS support.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Assist with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding processes.
Administer the occupational health program.
Assist with benefits administration.
Process status changes and maintain accurate records in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
Maintain records of personnel-related data in accordance with requirements.
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Assist with ad-hoc HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives.
Support company events and recognition programs.
Assist with company audits and reporting requirements.
Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
Coordinate cross-functionally with payroll, talent acquisition, training, IT, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
2+ years human resources experience.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field, preferred.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification, preferred.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than your scheduled hours per week or work outside of regular business hours to complete essential duties of this job.
