Shift: Monday-Friday, 9:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Supervision Received: The Manager of Practice Placements receives general supervision from the department chair and executive director.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Salary: $70,000-$75,000 (To commensurate with education and experience)
General Statement of Duties: The Manager of Practice Placements reports to the department chair. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with the chair and faculty to develop and maintain field sites that meet the department’s mission, goals, and expected outcomes; conducting independent site visits for potential new clinical sites; application and placement process for BSN and RN to BSN students; assist in ensuring that clinical instructors and faculty are prepared and supported for their work with students and each other; maintaining information in the department’s electronic documentation systems; serve as a consultant to clinical instructors and faculty regarding potential disruptions of assigned clinical sites and, as necessary, act as mediator when problems arise in the field that require intervention; provide assistance to students, clinical instructors, and faculty; participation in department and university committees as appropriate.

Salary:
For the majority of new employees, the minimum starting salary will apply. Specific salary for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining and state policies and procedures.
