Compensation: $30.00 to $35.00 hourly
A Brooklyn based Non Profit organization is seeking a Benefits and Data Associate on an ongoing contract basis. Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to;
Benefits Administration
Ensures staff awareness of benefits offerings by distributing all benefits enrollment materials, determining eligibility and where applicable, developing campaigns to boost participation and administer (enrollment and processing life status changes) plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, tuition, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plan, and retirement.
Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. This includes all retirement plans relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution and annual catch-up amounts.
Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
Provides timely and accurate reports for allocation/billing charges and fees.
Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration. Evaluate and revise internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Manages open enrollment process.
Develops and administers cohesive, results-oriented wellness program.
Data Management
Ensures all personnel actions are thoroughly reviewed and processed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner.
Consistently audits to confirm quality, accuracy, and usability of data; analyzes and documents results and discrepancies; troubleshoots issues and errors, quickly resolving them and their root causes. Addresses or escalates data issues as appropriate to ensure accurate, complete electronic and physical employee and pay records, according to policy.
Completes employment and income verifications, unemployment claims, federal levies, garnishments and income executions on employees.
Manages unemployment claims, completes EEO, ACA and other compliance-related reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
Responds to requests from centers and departments for employee data.
