PHILOSOPHY
Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) is committed to a future where all children are free from abuse and we are actively working to end child sexual abuse for every child through collaborative, high-impact efforts with Texas children’s advocacy centers and strategic partners.
CACTX has become a national leader in providing best-practice, evidence-based services to children impacted by abuse, serving nearly 1 million children statewide, through a statewide network of children’s advocacy centers. We have recently scaled our vision to eradicate child sexual abuse and are growing our Business Optimization team to support our organization’s multi-year, multi-generational journey into this work.
At the core of what makes the work of CACTX possible, is the skilled talent that embodies the organization’s guiding principles and applies their unique strengths to achieving results. For CACTX to be a great organization that is built to last, every staff member will need to be positioned and supported to achieve their full potential. This commitment requires a strategic, internal operating system (the guiding principles, people, processes, policies and infrastructure) that mutually reinforce one another and shapes how we work together to eradicate child sexual abuse. CACTX’s people positive operating system is built on the belief that our staff’s motivation for contributing their talents is driven by the ability to work autonomously, the opportunity to continually grow their competency by cultivating a breadth and depth of experiences and skills and a sense of belongingness, with the mission and colleagues. To achieve our big, bold vision the work demands that the operating system be built intentionally for a high degree of collaboration, connectivity, and agility – guiding principles that reinforce the core competencies of a collective impact organization. The people we recruit and retain, the processes and systems we build and the facilities we design must reinforce our ways of working.
